Unsigned Music Awards 2016 – Mels Jukebox Top 3!

The first ever televised music awards for unsigned talent are about to take place this week, on Thursday 27th October 2016.

Heading up East London’s Troxy theatre, the Unsigned Music Awards will be a night full of great live music, amazing talent and even bigger opportunities. Hosted by Laura Whitmore and Chris Stark, it is guaranteed that the ceremony will be far from dry and boring.

With over 16 categories to choose from, all whittled down to a handful super talented acts each it will be tough competition on the night.

I have already made up my mind, and I will definitely be rooting for my Top 3 on the night!

Come and say on Thursday, let’s celebrate together.

May the best act win ☺

Grumble Bee – Best Male Solo Act

Having witnessed Grumble Bee’s incredible success on the festival circuit first hand this year, this was an obvious choice for me.

Grumble Bee is hugely talented, being gifted with a golden raspy voice and a golden pen to create the most beautiful lyrics, he has already come so far this year.

Definitely not one to sting you badly, Grumble Bee is all about raw and impressive live shows that will leave you breathless.

Tiny Folds – Best Rock Act

Devonshire trio Tiny Folds are coming at you with their infectious synth pop rock mix and you won’t be able to escape.

Having already made a name for themselves as they scored a place on the BBC Introducing list and instantly won over the very own host of the Unsigned Music Awards, Chris Stark, their future is now shining bright.

If you are looking for some beautifully crafted tunes with a sunny vibe to fight of those grey autumn days, give Tiny Folds a spin.

Room 94 – Musicpreneur + Best Music Video

Up for two awards already, are London based punk popper from Room 94. Bringing unadulterated pop punk hymns to the table, the four piece are a force to be reckoned with.

Room 94 will be taking their underwater rock show from single ‘So What’ to the ring, trying to battle it out for ‘Best Music Video.

Having already gathered momentum across the globe, Room 94 are itching to bring their sound to gig near you and have you fall for them.
